Hello.....again?

 Hi, I'm new here, kinda....

I started blogging in 2016, but it was short lived. I started as a book blogger, but only had four posts. I realized that I'd rather just read a book and move on to the next one. Summarizing a book wasn't that fun for me. I was also in the middle of finishing my Bachelor's Degree in English and was reading a ton of books that were required reading. Like four books at a time! It was pretty intense. But I loved it!

So here I am in 2021 and am attempting in starting up again in blog world. I love to write (hence the English degree) and want to explore my other areas of interest and, dare I say, expertise. I hope to have a blog that touches on mostly parenting with some relationship and lifestyle posts sprinkled in. Reading is a big part of my life, so don't be surprised if I pop on with a book recommend or update on what I am currently reading. I don't want a blog like my previous one just about books because....well you know...it didn't last.

Why did I chose to name my blog Eight Year Span? Well that I will discuss in my next post in the next day or so.

I am excited to restart this adventure and find my niche in the world and if I am lucky, make some money too.

Lucky Number 8

 So why did I name this blog Eight Year Span? Well, that because my kids are all 8 years apart! All 3 of them. I had Chris at 24, Matt at 33 and Sarah at 41. I like to call it "a child a decade." I have a feeling I am a part of a very few (if any) who have 3 of their children born eight years apart.  Was it planned....um no. It's just what happened. Maybe I only ovulate every 8 years? That's possible. My system is crazy to begin with so it wouldn't surprise me! Eight is also a lucky number in this family as well. Not only because the kids are 8 years apart, but because of the circumstances around Matt's birth. He was born on the 28th of the month, he weighted 8 lbs and 8 oz and he was born at 3:28.  All those eights must mean its his lucky number too. We've been telling him for years that 8 is his lucky number and he believes it. Although he never chooses that number for football jersey. Go figure! So that's my story about the number 8. Fun right!
